Founded in 2024, the Bruce Wong Foundation is dedicated to advancing a fair and equitable Australia by addressing and removing barriers that hinder the progress of multicultural communities.

Established by Dr Bruce Wong, a former refugee and successful businessman, the Foundation is guided by a deep commitment to faith, philanthropy, and the empowerment of those in need.

With decades of charitable giving both in Australia and internationally, the Foundation continues to make a meaningful impact across various sectors.

    Director

    A spirited advocate for multicultural Australia, Bwe focuses on leadership development, education, and employment outcomes, working with communities and influencing policies across service providers, businesses, and all levels of government.

  • Celia Tran

    Director

    Celia is an accomplished leader with expertise across leadership, management, policy development, project management, and strategic communications, with a strong focus on government relations, community engagement, and advancing inclusion for diverse communities.

  • Derrick Wong

    Director

    Derrick is the Director at Axign Medical. He has a background in Accounting and Finance and is well experienced in management and leadership. He is passionate about his family, business, sports and supporting his father’s philanthropic legacy.

  • Huss Mustafa OAM

    Director

    Huss Mustafa OAM, a proud Australian with Turkish Cypriot heritage, overcame significant challenges as a young migrant to build a 48-year career at the Commonwealth Bank, where he established the Multicultural Community Banking division. A passionate advocate for cultural diversity, he has served on numerous NFP boards, including as Chair of the Australian Turkish Assistance Foundation and Patron of the Refugee Communities Association of Australia. Recognised with the Order of Australia Medal in 2014, Huss continues to champion multiculturalism and community inclusion.

    Director

    Recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the STARTTS Humanitarian Award, Zonta International Award, Australian Centre for Leadership for Women and the Order of Australia Medal (2024), among others, recognizing her exceptional contributions to community development and humanitarian work.

    Nasiba Akram-Haidari is a dedicated advocate for humanitarian causes, with decades of leadership in community development, refugee support, and women’s empowerment. Her work continues to inspire and uplift communities locally and internationally.
